Counterpoint ("the Service", at counterpoints.uk) lets you debate random strangers over live video and text. By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service connects you with strangers on live video and may expose you to adult or offensive content. You must be at least 18 years old to use it. By using the Service you confirm that you are 18+.
You agree that you will not:
Users can report others. We may warn, disconnect, kick, or ban users (including by IP address) at our sole discretion, with or without notice. We may also suspend or shut down the Service at any time.
Video and audio are sent peer-to-peer between participants and are not recorded or stored by us. For connections that cannot go direct, media may be relayed (but not stored) through a TURN server. We cannot control whether other participants record a session — assume they could.
You are responsible for the display name, avatar/photo, messages, and conduct you provide. Do not upload images or names that are illegal, infringing, or that you do not have the right to use.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee it will be safe, uninterrupted, or free of objectionable content or other users' misconduct.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service or from the conduct of other users, including exposure to offensive content or interactions with strangers.
We may update these Terms. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
